Why Little Matters and Excess is Baggage

Get unloaded

It’s a Sunday morning and I’m stoked about its little pleasures. An episode of a TV serial which only gets aired on a Sunday I need to watch(I’m dying to know what happens next). Then in the afternoon I’ll play with my cousin and some friends. At night I’ll be watching a movie on TV only if I’m through with my homework.

It’s a packed day with little windows of joy and some strands of freedom here and there. Yes, this was the story only a few decades back. We had too little say in things and very little by way of resources as well.

Despite these limitations, life was brimming with positivity and hurrah. We wouldn’t dream of the luxuries that today’s youth enjoy.

But, do they realize?

Skating on apps, friendships happen on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and others, their life looks fab. They raise issues on Twitter. The world is in their pocket.

Gazillion channels on TV, Netflix, and other OTT channels vie for their attention.

They’re huge on binge watching and instant gratification and it leaves no room for any mystery or sense of awe.

Wrapped by excess, one would think they’re happy, they are anything but. They’re hungry for peace and balance.
