Trill of lark
Fading away of dark

Sky yawning
Winks good morning

A lazy gaze
Over the mountains, hugging haze

A new day born
Nature’s magic wand

In full display
As I lay

Couched on my bed
Counting flowers, butter yellow and red

Standing in my vase
Bring cheer amidst fog and frost

Everyone gets down to work
Sun spraying some mirth

Woodpecker pecking on wood
Other birds too busy foraging for food
Farmers toiling and singing Oh Lord

The milkman’s voice
Some women chatter
Fill the air with pleasant noise

The day is still young
Today’s song not yet sung

Sing the notes mellifluously
Sketch and design skillfully
Smell the sprigs of fresh mint and rosemary
Do it all

Before today’s train disappears into the tunnel of night
Catch every moment, live this time

Tomorrow’s another light
Another realm, another poem

Thank you for reading! 💚💚
